Do They Exist??Kayleigh @ The Reading Journalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08129070705132320209noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2387018197965882301.post-54224481655822844942011-03-04T04:13:59.927+00:002011-03-04T04:13:59.927+00:00It's so subjective. Yeah, there are books I...It's so subjective. Yeah, there are books I'd classify as must-reads (The Outsiders, Harry Potter, Lord of the Flies, for example). But would I ever say someone that who hasn't or doesn't want to read those is not a true book lover? No way. A book lover is someone who loves book. That doesn't mean he or she has to love the same books I do. There are so many things I have absolutely no interest in reading that I'm sure people would say I have to read them and maybe that I don't truly love books or YA fiction if I don't (including the Mortal Instruments series--never finished the first one; it doesn't interest me at all; also including things like Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, and Wuthering Heights). I hate it when people say things like, "You're not a book lover if you haven't read this" or "You haven't read this/you didn't like this? What's wrong with you?" Nothing's wrong with me, and I certainly am a book lover. We just have different tastes. Not a big deal.

Thanks for a great post! :)Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05951799381063340483noreply@blogger.com
